Admitted to the Panama Bar in 1993. He is an expert in corporate law, concentrating in asset protection and tax planning, with vast experience in the formation of corporations, private foundations and trusts for individuals and families. Mr. Vlieg practices real estate and immigration law and will be able to assist you in determining and applying for the right type of visa for your needs.

He earned his law degree from the Law School at Santa Maria La Antigua University in Panama, where He also received a Masters Degree in Maritime Law, and is currently working on his dissertation for a Doctorate in International Business. His tenure includes teaching, legal advisor to the Administrator of the Colon Free Zone (second largest free zone in the world) and Legal Counsel to the Evergreen Group. Mr. Vlieg has been a speaker at several corporate seminars in the U.S., China, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala and Bolivia.

Mr. Vlieg has worked very closely with think tanks in Washington such as the Heritage Foundation and the Center for Freedom and Prosperity, promoting international tax competition and the protection of individual rights, specially to financial privacy.

Mr. Vlieg has also operated with governments of jurisdictions with respect to the OECD`s “harmful tax competition” initiative and anti-money laundering measures, being part of delegations in meetings at Barbados, Malaysia and Australia as an international advisor.
