CUSTOM-DESIGNED REAL ESTATE TOURS

Our custom designed real estate tours are specially planned taking in consideration your specific interests. We offer several alternatives as follows:

1) Panama City: This tour takes you to selected sites in Panama City, if you prefer urban living. We select the sites based on your pre-established budget figure and specific requirements. This is normally a one-half to full day tour. This tour costs $80.  To our French-speaking customers, we recommend lodging at El Litoral, a very chic bed and breakfast located in Bella Vista, in the heart of Panama City, with lots of good restaurants and boutiques, just one block away at Via Uruguay.  Their website is www.litoralpanama.com  You will find Anne-Marie Bergeron to be an excellent hostess. 

2) Pacific Beaches & Mountains: This is our most popular tour and takes you across the Panama Canal to the west of Panama City to visit sites in the Pacific beaches and mountains in an area encompassing approximately 130 kms. along the Interamerican Highway. During this tour we include a quick dip in the beautiful beaches at Santa Clara, so bring your bathing gear along.. From Panama City we move west past Arraijan and Chorrera and make a brief stop at "Bollos Chorreranos" where you will be treated to a sampler of some Panamanian dishes and exotic tropical guanabana fruit juice (in season). We then go on to Capira where we make our second stop at "Quesos Chela" which is famous for its variety of cheeses and cashews. From there we will go to Bejuco where we veer north to the mountains and visit Sora, sampling delicious manzano bananas on the way.

We return to the main highway and go past Chame and Gorgona to Coronado beach. From Coronado we will go past Punta Barco and Costa Esmeralda to Vista Mar, a beautiful golf beach resort community. We will then go past the town of San Carlos and Rio Mar to the entry of El Valle where we will sample the best ice cream cones (remember the 50’s?) in the world. We continue on to Santa Clara where we will stop at a seaside restaurant, enjoying a dip in the ocean and lunch.

After lunch, we continue our trek to Playa Blanca Resort and Decameron, prior to returning to Panama City. This is a full-day tour. Cost is $200 including vehicle and tour guide. Meals are not included.

3) Colon Atlantic Beaches and Panama Canal: This tour begins in Panama City, where we will go to the Miraflores Locks Panama Canal Observatory, view ships passing through the locks and receive a thorough explanation of the canal operation. We will then follow the Camino de Cruces Trail alongside the Panama Canal stopping at the Summit Golf Course and Resort prior to driving through the dense jungle and retaking the Panama-Colon highway to the north.

We will go past the Gatun lake, which at the time of its creation was the largest artificial lake in the world. We continue on to Colon, the Caribbean entry of the Panama Canal. We will have lunch at the Panama Canal Melia Hotel, located at the former School of the Americas, where we will examine time sharing possibilities and examine the villas at the Club Nautico Lago Gatun project.

In the afternoon, we will return to Sabanitas in the province of Colon, where we veer east and follow the coastal route past Maria Chiquita to Portobelo, where all the gold shipments from the Spanish colonies during the 16th and 17th century had to be cleared at the customs house prior to shipment to Spain. We continue on past Isla Grande to Nombre de Dios, founded in 1510 as the first colony in the mainland of the American continent, where we will visit the Green Turtle Cay Marina and Resort and Caribbean Jimmy’s Dive Resort prior to our return to Panama City. This is a full day tour. Cost is $250 including tour guide and vehicle. Meals and tickets to the Miraflores Locks Observatory are not included.
