We begin our tour visiting the Panama Canal Miraflores Locks Visitors Center. Afterwards, we will drive on the Amador Causeway (the 3.5 miles strip made from Panama Canal dredging materials, joining the mainland with the three islands that were heavily-fortified wartime U.S. military defense outposts in the Pacific Ocean entry to the Canal). We will stop at Flamenco, the farthest island, where we will shop at the Duty Free Stores.
On our return, we will stop at the former Balboa YMCA (now a handicraft and souvenir market), as well as at the Old Colonial Area (Casco Antiguo). We will also drive through the banking and financial district.
