Leaving Panama City at 7:00 a.m., we will travel to Anton Valley located 600 meters above sea level. Anton Valley, an extinct volcano, is flanked by tropical rainforest and surrounded by impressive waterfalls. The most famous of these waterfalls is El Chorro del Macho. To enjoy the view, we will take a short hike through the forest, appreciate the dense vegetation, the birds and other animals in their natural habitat. The most famous mountain is the Sleeping Indian Woman.

We will visit El Níspero zoo and botanical gardens that house endemic species and many in danger of extinction. We will also visit the museum, where pre-Columbian arts and area Colonial relics are housed. We will see the world-famous square trees,as well as anthropomorphous images and prehistoric symbols, still the subject of archaeological investigation. |

We will visit the handicraft shop, where you’ll appreciate natural wild orchids and figures carved on soapstone by the local natives. We will return to Panama City at 5:00 p.m. |

NOTE: In reference to the Canopy Adventure, this allows you the opportunity to go on a canopy ride and observe the thick tropical rainforest from a different perspective. You will travel on hanging cables, from one platform to another (four in total), while being assisted by the site´s expert guide. You will also have the opportunity to hike through an interpretative path, detailing all the surrounding natural ambiance. |
